"They say you don't just look at the Highveld; you breathe it. Inspired by the vast "ruimte (openness) described by C.J. Langenhoven, I've started a new piece that attempts to capture that specific Highveld magic - where the sky feels like a bridge to another world."
The Foundation of Space

I started with the horizon. In the Highveld, the horizon isn't just a line; it's an invitation. I wanted to capture that high, thin air and the way the clouds seem to sit just out of reach. At this stage, it was all about the "Great Silence" of the plains.
