The Highveld in Bloom: A work in Progress

I am currently working on a piece that capture the vastness of the Highveld. It's at that stage where the atmosphere is set, and the details are starting to breathe.
The Rhythm of the Sky
The sky is filled with soft, rhytmic clouds stretching across the horizon. I've decided to stop there with the clouds - I don't want to add any more. I want to preserve that sense of wide-open space and let the blue peek through.
Anchors in the Grass
On the right, the windmill stands as the main anchor, its rusted frameoverlooking the field. I've been focusing on "grounding" the scend by working on the fence line, ensuring each post feels like it's firmly planted in the earth with small, subtle shadows.
A Carpet of Colour
The foreground is a sea of white and purple cosmos. One of my favourite details to work on is how the flowers interact with the fence, peeking through the wires.
